Bidding Prayers: Palm Sunday, 28th March 2021

CELEBRANT

As we celebrate our Lord’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem and devoutly recall his passion, let us offer our prayers through him to our eternal Father.

READER

We pray that our own Church community will remain united in prayer. Let us give thanks for the love and support we gain through our fellowship and keep one another close in thought and our daily prayers. Lord in your mercy

We pray for families in all parts of the world especially those separated by the pandemic and unable to travel. Help them to remain connected through both modern technology and traditional communication. Unite them in their love and concern for one another. Lord in your mercy

We pray for all carers and health professionals as they overcome the many challenges they face. We ask for God’s support and blessing as they bring light and hope into the lives of those most vulnerable and at risk. May their courage inspire us to be kinder and more considerate of others. Lord in your mercy

We pray for those who hunger for the spiritual meaning in their lives: that the Gospel of this Holy Week may help them to find the true life they are seeking. We also remember members of our families who have given up the practice of the faith and we pray that they will return again to find the healing of God’s presence. Lord in your mercy

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and intentions ……. Lord in your mercy

Let us ask the help and prayers of Our Lady of Sorrows; Hail Mary…

CELEBRANT

Loving Father, hear our prayers and what we ask in faith may you grant through your Son who suffered and died for our sake. Be with us as we accompany Jesus through Holy Week towards his passion, death and resurrection who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen
