Bidding prayers: 2nd Sunday of Easter, 11th April 2021

CELEBRANT

Risen Lord, as we celebrate your Divine Mercy, we come before you, knowing that you love us far more than we can possibly imagine. We know that your mercy and compassion embraces our beautiful but troubled world offering us healing and new life.

READER

As Pope Francis challenges our world to be merciful and compassionate to those who are in need or suffering through discrimination, disadvantage and disability, let us pray that all church leaders will inspire peace, greater understanding and hope. Risen Lord hear our prayer

We pray for our sovereign Queen Elizabeth and all her family as they mourn the death of her beloved husband, Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh. We give thanks for his duty and service and the wonderful support he has provided during his 73 years as consort. May his family be comforted by the healing presence of God. Risen Lord hear our prayer

We pray for the government, scientists and all those in leadership positions as we emerge from lockdown. May they make wise decisions as we move forward, so that all communities are kept safe and healthy with renewed hope for the future. Risen Lord hear our prayer

We pray for our parish family. May we value each other, build a supporting, loving community and be a living message of peace to the people in our family, friends and neighbours. Risen Lord hear our prayer

Let us pause for a moment in silence as we bring to the Lord our personal prayers and intentions…………… Risen Lord hear our prayer

We ask Mary our Mother to watch over, guide and protect us as we pray; Hail Mary…………………………………….

CELEBRANT

Risen Lord, hear us in your mercy and strengthen all for whom we pray, that they may know your presence and peace all their days, through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
