As we prepare for the CAFOD Family Fast Day on the 1st October we remember especially the people living in the Amazon rainforest who are on the frontline of climate crisis. We pray that their safety and future will be safeguarded by the positive action and support of Aid agencies and world leaders. Lord hear us
We pray for all those striving to protect the earth, our common home, that God may strengthen us all to be guardians of the precious gift of creation. Lord hear us
We remember those who live their lives with disability, life changing illness or injury; we pray that they will receive the support and help they need in order to live their lives free from pain and distress. Lord hear us

Heavenly Father, whose Son Jesus Christ was sent to bring healing and good news to the poor, we ask you to hear the prayers that we offer through the same Christ our Lord Amen
